Certifications: Qualification of Welding Procedure Qualifications
A Welding Procedure Qualification means that before starting a project the method of welding has to be determined as suitable for the production activities. This means that based on a preliminary welding procedure specification (pWPS) a test sheet or pipe will be welded. This weld will then be evaluated according to the appropriate standard and/or customer specification. The production can start when the weld meets the requirements in the specification. We will identify the requirement standards and customer specifications and use this to construct a pWPS with the right parameters and welding additives. These will be welded under supervision of for example Det Norske Veritas, Lloyd’s Register, American Bureau of Shipping or Bureau Veritas and tested by an accredited laboratory.
