Certification according to the Lloyd’s Rules for the Manufacture, Testing and Certification of Materials of miscellaneous 22% Cr. Duplex welded anchors designed for the luxury yacht construction. The quite unusual choice of material of this type of Duplex Stainless Steel has to do with the “pretty appearance” after grinding and polishing trough the strong and corrosion resistance of this material. Of course, the level of difficulty of welding this material is very high, mainly because the specification sets high demands on testing corrosion, ferrite % in combination with strength and carelessness.
