Manufacturing of four new chemical tankers at a shipyard in China.

At this moment we are closely involved in the construction of four new chemical tankers at a shipyard in China. The ships are equipped with 22%cr. Duplex cargo tanks and will be completely built and finalized at this shipyard.
These activities are commissioned by a Dutch shipping company that will manufacture under own supervision and for personal use. During these activities we will assist the site in preparing weld plans, provide explanations and presentations of duplex stainless steel and the necessary assistance in qualifying the required procedures and welding personnel.

After this phase and green light by Bureau Veritas Shanghai the start will be made with building the ships. During this phase the necessary inspections of in particular the duplex tankers will be done on location and with a high frequency. This will certainly contribute to the quality of the welding and in general expand the life span of the chemical tankers
