FPC certification and CE-marking according NEN 1090-1.

Van der Kolk en Vos Staalbouw BV. has started the certification proces for the 1st of July 2014 on mandatory CE marking for fabricated structural steelwork according the NEN 1090-1.

To guide this, Van der Kolk en Vos had chosen for the unique collaboration between Schimmer Consultancy (www.nen-1090.nl) and Lastechisch Advies Buro A. Verduyn BV. Lars Schimmer, of Schimmer Consultancy, was responsible for the draft and implementation of the FPC (Factory Production Control), and has also given guidance to the audit and the final certification by Kiwa (www.kiwa.nl). LAB Verduyn BV. made an inventory of the required welding procedure and welders qualifications, and after drafting the pWPS documents, this was qualified in their welding-shop under supervision of Lloyd's Register (www.lr.org/nl)
